Calvert L. Davenport died on Saturday afternoon at his mother's house 1464 Walton Way. He was 35 years old, a graduate of Richmond Academy and entered the U.S. Military academy at West Point in 1902, graduating four years later with the rank of second lieut. He served in the Phillipines, during the Spanish American War and married at Manilla in 1910, his wife being the former Dreast Davis, daughter of Surgeon A. F. Davis of the Army, then on duty in the Phillipines. During his service there Lieut. Davenport was thrown from his horse, sustaining injuries which resulted in permanent partial paralysis, and he was placed on the retired list. He is survived by, his wife, his little daughter Dorothy age 6, his mother Mrs. Calvert Davenport, his brothers; Joseph, William, and Paul; his sister; Miss Nellie Davenport. Geneva Frank With every member of her family ill with the flu, the body of Geneva Frank who died with the disease, is awaiting the recovery of some of them before the funeral will be held by Platts undertaking palors The girl was 12 years of age and died late Friday evening at residence No. 212 fifth street. The affected family includes five persons. Area Deaths John W. Veno John Wright Veno aged 36, died at the University Hospital at noon Saturday. Surviving relatives are Mrs. Clara Veno, the sons, Elrod and Malone, and the sisters, Miss Mamie Veno and Mrs. J. J. Ferguson. All of Augusta. Marion W. Dunham Marion W. Dunham aged 28, died Saturday morning after an illness of 10 days. The funeral will be held at the City Cemetery Monday afternoon at 8 o'clock. Surviving relatives are Mrs. Annie D. Dunham, the widow, Marion Jr., the son, Mary Louise, the daughter, Samuel Em, the father, Miss Elizabeth, the sister, all of Augusta, and the brothers, Joseph of the A. E. F. , Charles of the U. S. Navy, and Samuel of Augusta. Mrs. John INglett of Brezelia Dead Mrs. JOhn Inglett age 35 died last night at her home in Brezelia, Ga. after an attack of pneumonia, following influenza. She lived in Augusta until some 20 years ago when she married and moved to Brezelia. Mrs. Inglett was an exemplary wife and mother, a woman of fine character and attractive qualities, and her death is sincerely mourned. The family consists of the husband and one son, Claude; a brother Clifford Carroll of Brezelia, a sister, Mrs. W. E. Kennedy of Augusta, and three brothers, C.B. Carroll, of Grovetown, Robert of Belair, and Peter of this city. A. Darby Thursday evening. Miss Darby is one of the most popular members of the younger set of this place. Mr. Bargeron is in business at Fitzgerald where the couple will make their future home. Funeral Notice smith-Entered into rest in the 47th year of his age in this city at 5:30 p.m, March 21, 1914 Mr. Littleton R. Smith, the beloved husband of Mrs. Elizabeth R. Smith and father of Mary Elizabeth Smith. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral at R. E. Elliott's Private Chapel tomorrow, (Monday) morning at 11 o'clock internment in the City Cememtery. Dutcher-Relatives and Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Salem Dutcher are reqested to attend the funeral of Mrs. Salem Dutcher, from St. Patricks Church Sunday afternoon March 22, internment in City Cemetery. Oct. 22, 1917 Monday Mrs. T.D. Caswell, Sr. Tenderly laid to rest. (long obituary so giving the pertninet information) Mrs. Theodore D. Caswell, Sr. funeral services held at the home at 602 Greene St. she was laid to rest at the City Cemetery by the side of her late husband Major. Theodore D. Caswell. She was a president of the Daughters of the Confederacy. Two sons, Bayard Caswell from Oklahoma and Theodore Caswell. July 18, 1912 Thursday Mrs. Julia Conner died yesterday. Mrs. Julia Conner age 75 died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock after an extended illness. The funeral services will be conducted from the residence of her son, Mr. Charles Conner, 519 Watkins St. Mrs. Conner is survived by two sons, Mr. Charles Conner, and Mr. Marion O. Conner, and two brothers, M.W. and T.B. King all of Augusta. February 27, 1913 Thursday Death of infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Hensley Eddie Rudolph Hensley, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Tillmon Hensley died yesterday after a very short illness. He was the parents only child. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 3:30 in the West View Cemetery, Rev. Thomas Walker officiating.
