This file was contributed by: Jan Bohler jbohler@bellsouth.net ==================================================================== Lewis church host to Grovetown charge quarterly meeting EVANS, Ga. -- The first quarterly conference of the Grovetown Methodist charge recently was held at Lewis Memorial Methodist church (formerly Sardis church) with the Rev. George L. King, district superintendent of Augusta district, preaching the sermon. Immediately following lunch, conference was conducted. It was suggested and voted to change the name of Sardis Church to Lewis Memorial church. The next meeting of the charge will be held at Grovetown Methodist church. Vistors present at the meeting included Mr. and Mrs. John Klinck of North Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Norris of Thomson; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Lewis of Augusta; Miss Fanny Lazenby and Miss Annie Mae Lazenby of Harlem and the Rev. C. C. Cliett of Manns Memorial church of Augusta and Mrs. C. C. Farr of Augusta.
