KNOW ALL MEN BY THEIR PRESENTS THAT WE, HENRY CLIETT, JOHN CLIETT AND 
HEZEKIAH GRUBBS, ARE HELD FIRMLY BOUND INTO THEIR HONOR THE JUSTICES OF 
THE INFERIOR COURT FOR SAID COUNTY AND THEIR SUCCESSORS IN OFFICE IN THE 
JUST AND FULL SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR THE USE OF PENNINGTON P, 
JAMES W. H, FRANCES ALL & COM DECATOR BLACKSTONE WHICH PAYMENT WILL TRULY 
TO BE MADE WE BIND OURSELVES, OUR HEIRS, EXECUTORS AND ADMINISTRATORS 
FIRMLY BY THESE PRESENT, SEALED WITH OUR SEAL AND DATED THIS TWENTIETH 
DAY OF DECEMBER, 1825.

WHEREAS THE ABOVE NAMED HENRY CLIETT WAS ON THE TWENTIETH DAY OF DECEMBER 
1825 APPOINTED BY THE HONORABLE THE JUSTICES OF THE INFERIOR COURT OF THE 
COUNTY AFORESAID GUARDIAN OF THE PERSONS OF PENNINGTON P, JAMES W. H. , 
FRANCES ALLEN, & COMMODORE DECATOR BLACKSTONE MINOR & ORPHAN CHILDREN OF 
JAMES BLACKSTONE LATE OF SAID COUNTY DECEASED. NOW THE CONDITION OF THE 
ABOVE OBLIGATION IS DUE THAT IF THE ABOVE BOUND HENRY CLIETT SHALL 
WILLINGLY, FAITHFULLY DO EXECUTE AND PERFORM ALL AND SINGULAR THE DUTIES 
REQUIRED OF HIM BY LAW AS GUARDIAN AFORESAID THEN THE ABOVE OBLIGATION TO 
BE VOID ELSE TO REMAIN IN FULL FORCE
