This file was contributed by: Pauleta Hicks pauleta@comanchetx.com ======================================================================= MARCH 19, 1830 The following receipt being tendered was examined & ordered to be recorded to wit: Georgia} Upson County} Received of my guardian Simmons Crawford (who was appointed in Columbia County Georgia) one negroe man named Jim allotted to me in the division of my Father, Samuel Bowdre, decd, estate as by reference to the records of distribution will appear. Also the sum of sixty nine dollars and fifty three cents. Also the sum of sixty dollars for the hire of the boy Jim, the last year as my distribution of the sales of the personal estate of said deceased. Also the sum of thirty five dollars and seventy one cents in cash it being the amount due by the lot assigned to my sister Drucilla Bowdre to make my share equal to the average proportion that each legatee was entitled to in the negro property for which I hereby exonerate and acquit my said guardian from all liability on account of his bond given for his acts as my guardian.
