Know all men by thefe prefents, That we Thomas Bowdre, Edmund Bowdre & Samuel Bowdre are held and firmly bound to their Honors the Judges of the Court of Ordinary for faid county, and their fucceffors in office, in the fum of two thousand dollars to be paid to the faid Judges or their fucceffors, to which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourfelves, our heirs, executors and adminiftrators, in the whole and for the whole jointly and feverally firmly by thefe prefents. Sealed with our feals and dated this first day of June one thoufand eight hundred & five. The condition of the above obligation is fuch, That if the above bound Thomas Bowdre, adminiftrator of the goods and chattels, rights and credits of Benoni Bowdre late of this county, deceafed, do make a true and perfect inventory of all and fingular the goods, chattles and credits of faid deceafed, which have or fhall come to the hands or poffeffion of the faid Thomas Bowdre or in the hands or poffeffion of any other perfon or perfons for him and the fame fo made, do exhibit into the office of faid court of Ordianry when he fhall be thereunto required, and fuch goods, chattles and credits do well and truly adminifter according to law, and do make a true and juft account of his actings and doings therein when he fhall be thereunto required by the faid court of Ordinary for faid county, and all the reft of the goods, chattles and credits which fhall be found remaining upon the account of the fiad adminiftration, the fame being firft allowed of by faid court, fhall deliver and pay to fuch perfon or perfons refpectively, as are entitled to the fame by law, and if it fhall hereafter appear than any laft will and teftament was made by the faid deceasfed, and the fame be proved before faid court, and the executors obtain a certificate of the probate thereof, then the faid Thomas Bowdre do in fuch cafe, if required, render and deliver up the faid letters of adminiftration, then this obligation to be void. Crawford, Clerk ****************************************** 6-1-1805 Georgia}} I Thomas Bowdre do solomenly swear that Benoni Bowdre decd. died without any will as far as I know or believe and that I will well and truly administer all and singular the goods and chattels rights & credits of the said desc. and pay all his just debts as far as the same will extend and the law requires me and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods and chattles rights & credits of the said desd. and a quote returns whereof when required. Hobbs, DAvid Harris, Wm. Colvard, Ben. Finny, Jonathan Tindell & Elisha Walker. These are to authorize you or any three or more of you to repair to all fuch parts and palces as you fhall be directed unto by Thomas Bowdre, adm. of all and fingular, the goods, chattels, rights and credits of Benoni Bowdre, deceafed, where-foever any of the goods and chattels of the faid deceased, are or do remain within the faid parts and places, and which fhall be fhewn unto you by the faid Thomas Bowdre, adm., and there view and appreaife all and every, the faid goods and chattels, being firft fworn on the holy evangelifts of Almighty God, to make a true and perfect inventory and appraifement thereof, and to caufe the fame to be returned under your hands or any three or more of you to the faid adm. within three months from the date hereof. Wilkins ********************************** 7-20-1805 The personal property of Benoni Bowdre decd. after being legally advertised was put up at publick auction a the house of Robert Bowdre in Columbia County. The same was knocked of to Thomas Bowdre for the sum of one hundred dollars. T. Bowdre Georgia} Columbia County} Ordinary Office Sept 3, 1805 REgistered in Book G, folio 115-116 by A. Crawford ***************************** 7-20-1805 By a warrant of appraisment to us directed by the Honrb. the Court of Ordinary we hereunto appraised & inventoried all the personal estate of Benoni Bowdre as shewn us by Thomas Bowdre, adm., of said deceased. Viz: One pine chest $2 One cot $2.50 One gird iron $.50 one smoothing iron $.50 11 carts $2.25 One sifter $.85 1/2 of a calf skin $1 One dutch oven $1 Lot shew tooles $1.25 One razor case $1 One mare & colt $80 Saddle & bridle $6 One negro girl named Monica---------- Total $98.75 We certify the above to be a true inventory and appraisement of the estate of Benoni Bowdre as produced to us by the adm. as above certified by us this 20th July 1805.
