BOYD "Georgia Columbia County In the name of God Amen I Robert I. Boyd of the County & State aforementioned being upon the eve of leaving for the seat of War, and knowing the uncertainty of life do make this my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made Item 1st It is my Will and desire that my just debts be paid by my Executors as early as practicable after my death Item 2nd I give to my father John Boyd my following negroes To Wit, Dave? a man, Charlott a woman and her two youngest children to have and hold for his own proper use and benefit. Item 3rd I give to my brother William S?. Boyd Two thousand Dollars in money out of my estate, said amount of money to be raised by the sale of my tract of land, crop, stock, notes accounts &c provided my brother William S. Boyd be in life at my death. In case my said brother should die before I do, It is my will and desire that the above named amount given to my brother William S. Boyd be equally divided between my father John Boyd, my brother John T. Boyd, and my niece Mary E. Boyd share and share alike, for their own proper use and benefit Item 4th I give to my brother John T. Boyd the following negroes, To Wit, Susan a girl, Anni a girl, Gabe a boy - To have and to hold for his own proper use and benefit Item 5th I give unto my niece Mary E. Boyd the following negroes, To Wit, Charles a man, Pat a man, also all the mony arrising from the sale of my land, crop, Stock, notes and afcts, after the payment of the two thousand Dollars given to my brother William S. Boyd. In case my Niece Mary E. Boyd should die before she marries or becomes of age then it is my will that the whole of my estate given to my niece Mary E. Boyd, be equally divided between my father John Boyd William S. Boyd and John T. Boyd my brothers for their own proper use and benefit Item 6th I do hereby appoint my father John Boyd, William S.
