Ga. Loose Will Written: July 10, 1869 WILLIAM S. DUNN WILL In the name of God, Amen!!! I William S. Dunn of the county of Columbia and State of Georgia a planter for most of my life, and infirm of body, retain my reasoning faculties and soundness of mind and memory. Knowing it is appointed for all men once to die, & desirous of disposing of property which it pleased Heaven to bless me with as I deem just & right, hereby ordain & constitute the following as my last will & testament revoking & annulling any & all will or wills heretofore made by me. Item 1st. I desire all of my just debts be paid. Item 2nd. I give & bequeath unto my grandchildren the children of my son John (now deceased) to wit William Anderson, Mary Frances, Robert, Ella Ann & Mattie Lou Dunn the sum of one thousand three hundred & thirty three & one third dollars to be paid to the executor of the will of John Dunn & one third interest in three several lots of land 2 of which lie in Mitchell County & one a forty acre lot in Cherokee County to be sold by John T. Stovall & proceeds paid as above legacy to Exr. Of John Dunn their father to them & their heirs forever, to be equally divided between them. In case of death of either survivors to inherit. Item 3rd. I give unto the sons of my daughter Lucy Ann to wit John Hamilton & Robert Eugene Neal & children of Richard S. Neal One thousand & thirty three & one third dollars, And one third of the nett amount of sales of three several tracts two of which are lieing in Mitchell & the other in Cherokee County which I appoint John T. Stovall to execute sales of & authority is herebvy given to the said John T. & my executor to pay over to Richard S. Neal if before the heirs arrive at age & in event of either dieing the survivor to inherit it to them & their heirs forever. Item 4th. I give & bequeath unto the children of my deceased daughter Elizabeth the wife of Joshua Stovall Esqr to wit John Thaddeus, George Pierce, William S., Frances now wife of Geoge M. Lazenby & to John T. Stovall as trustee for Mary now wife of James J. Poole, he to control the same for the use & benefit of my said grand daughter & Virginia C. wife of John Thos. Boyd, One thousand three hundred & thirty three & one third dollars and the one third of the nett proceeds of sales of three several tracts of land two of which are in Mitchell County & one in Cherokee County to be sold by J. T. Stovall who is authorized to pay over to the parties as the money legacy is to be equally divided share alike to them & their heirs forever. Item 5th. I give and bequeath to my son William Anderson Dunn the tract of land whereon I lived, on Sullivans Creek in Columbia County, Ga adjoining lands of ______, Blalock, Pohler(?), & others & containing nine hundred acres more or less & he is exempted & not required to pay any interest or other charges heretofore & two years after my death pay the legacy amounting to four thousand bequeathed my grandchildren. Item 6th. I hereby nominate & appoint my son William A. Dunn Executor to carry this will into effect except so far as relates to outlands & I appoint my grand son John T. Stovall with full power to execute sales & make titles to lands heretofor mentioned. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this the tenth day of July A.D.
