I Richard Harrison the elder of the state of Georgia and County of Columbia being sick and weak in body but of Perfect and disposing mind and memory will as touching such worldly Estate where with it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Betty Harrison the sum of six hundred dollars and a negroe woman named Sarah to wait on her also two feather beds and necessary furniture also one horse, saddle and bridle to make her choice out of my stock of horses it is my wish that she remain on the plantation while she remain my widow. I further give her one trunk and one chest and her choice of one of my tables and it is my desire that if the negroe woman named Sarah should outlive my wife she is then to become the property of my son in law John Embree all the remainder of the property bequeathed to my said wife is at her death to be equally divided between my two sons Richard and James Harrison. 2nd. I give and bequeath to my son in law Adam Jones one negroe woman named Patience and one negroe boy named Jim also one dark bay filley rising three years old in trust for his son Richard Jones. 3rd. I give and bequeath to my son Perryman Sheppard Harrison one negroe man named Surry and one young negroe woman named Amy and her issue also one negroe girl named Violet and her issue in trust for his son Dick Franklin Harrison also two hundred two and one half acres of land in old Wilkoman? on little Sandy creek. 4th. Also I give and bequeath to my son Tyrrel Cook Harrison one negroe man named Joe and one negroe girl named Harriot and her issue also one negroe girl named Franky in trust for his son Dick Harrison and her issue. 5th. Also I give and bequeath to my grandson Sullivan Harrison one negroe boy named George also one negroe boy named Nathan in trust for Mat Richard Tyrrel Harrison until he shall be able to act for himself. 6th. I give and bequeath to my son Gadwell Reins Harrison two hundred eighty seven and one half acres land in Washington County white Pouds? joining Sandersville also one feather bed and furniture the one he now uses also one likely young sorrel horse rising four years old also one negroe man named Daniel also one negroe woman named Mariah and her issue also one cow and calf and one sow and seven pigs. 7th. I give and bequeath to my son Richard Harrison one half of the land I now reside on containing three hundred and forty seven acres also one negroe girl named Suckey and her issue also one negroe boy named Arthur also one half of my stock of horses cattle sheep and hogs. 8th. I give and bequeath to my son James Harrison the other half of the land I now reside on containing three hundred and forty seven acres to be equally divided between them but it is to be understood that if there should be any deficiency with the quantity specified that my son James shall have the full quantity of three hundred and forty seven acres also one negroe woman named Sylvie and child Sam and her issue also one negroe woman named Peg and her child Sophey and their issue also one waggon and geer also one still. 9th. Also I give and bequeath to my son in law John Embree one negroe fellow named John. It is my will and desire that if it should please God to take me hence that a division of all my Estate both real and personal shall be made on the first day of January 1817. And Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my beloved son Tyrrel Cook Harrison and John Embree my son in law executors of this my last will and testament. Having omitted in it's proper place my son Dinwiddie Harrison I give and bequeath to him one negroe fellow named Peter. I do hereby ratify and confirm this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this seventeenth day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and sixteen.
