Lamkin Georgia, Columbia County I, Griffin E. Lamkin, of said state and county being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament. Item 1st. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Mattie L. Lamkin and my son Turner Lamkin all my property both real and personal, to be equally divided between them after the payment of my just debts. The shares of my said son to be given him upon his attaining his twenty-first year. And in case either my wife or son should die, the part or portion held by them shall revert to the surviving one. And in the event of my said wife Mattie L. Lamkin remarrying that part or portion of the property held by her shall revert to my son Turner Lamkin, if he be then in life, and if he be dead, then it shall revert to the children of my brothers William B. and James A. Lamkin. Item 2nd. I here by constitute and appoint my friend S.E. (?)ills Executor of this my last will and testament this 1st January 1886. G. E. Lamkin Signed, declared and published by Griffin E. Frank D. Gray Bradford Ivy ( his mark ) John Seiler Georgia, Columbia County Before me came Brad Ivy, named as a witness to the within writing, purporting to be Griffin E. Lamkin's last will and testament and being duly sworn, says that he with Frank D. Gray and John Seiler, at the request of Griffin E. Lamkin and in his presence did attest as witnesses this within writing as his Griffin E. Lamkin's will: that the same was signed and published by Griffin E. Lamkin in their presence as his last will: that he was at the time of said allestation ( sp? ) and signing by himself of sound and disposing mind and memory: that he executed the written paper voluntarily.
