Ann Speirs To Saml. Bowdrie,

Georgia. Recorded 17th. Dec. 1799

Know all men by these presents that I Ann Speirs Administratix of the Estate
& effects of Harry Speirs deceased of the County of Columbia for divers good
causes & consideration, The hereunto moving have made, ordained, authorized,
nominated & appointed & by these presents do make, ordain, authorize,
nominate & appoint Samuel Bowdrie of the County & State aforesaid my true &
lawfull attorney for me & in my name & for my own proper use & benefit as
Administratix aforesaid to ask demand, sue for recover & receive of & from
Col. Benjamin Drew of South Hampton County in the state of Virginia or any
other person or persons whatsoever in the state last mentioned all such sum
or sums of money, debts,, dues & demands, Negroes or other property
belonging to Harry Speirs deceased in the County & State last aforesaid
which was the said Harry Speirs's or belonged to him at the time of his
death, and to have use & take all lawfull ways & means in my name as
Administratix or other ways for the recovery thereof by attachment, arrest,
distrefs or otherwise ????????????? & agree for the same & acquittance or
other sufficient discharges for the same for me & in my name to mark to
make, seal & deliver & to do all other lawfull acts & things whatsoever
concerning the premises as fully & in every respect as I myself might or
could do as Administratix were I personally present at the doing through ??
Attorney one or more under him for the purposes aforesaid to make & again at
his pleasure to revoke satisfying & confirming & by these presents allowing
whatsoever my said Attorney shall in my name as Administratix lawfully do or
cause to be done in & about the premises by virtue of these presents in
witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 17th. day of
December 1799.
