This file was contributed by: Pattie Causey pacausey@mindspring.com ==================================================================== ELI WHEAT "In the name of God Amen I Eli Wheat of Columbia County & State of Georgia being sick of body of sound mind and memory thanks to Allmighty God for the same, do make this my last will and testament - with regard to the worldly goods which it has pleased God to bestow on me I dispose of in form and manner following that is to say my will and desire is that all of my property Viz, one negro man named Will, one other negro man named Hannibel, also one negro woman named Polley and her Child called Presby and their increase also my bay horse and bay mare, all of said property I ? to my Father and Mother, during their natural lives - but when my Father dies my will then is that the negro man Will as above named may go to my Brother Wesley Wheat, and he said Wesley to pay to my Brother Iley Wheat half the value of said negro at the end of twelve months after he receives said negro, the value of said negro to be ascertained by two or three disinterested persons - My Will also is that after the death of my Father and Mother, the negros Hanibel, Polley and Presby and their increase if any may go to my Brother Harvey Wheat to him and his heirs after the said Harvey to pay to the heirs of the body of my Sister Rebecah O'Neal, half the value of said negros, the value of said negros to be ascertained by two or three disitnerested persons two years after he sd. Harvey receives said negroes - my will also is that after the death of my Father and Mother, my said horse and Mare as above lent to them may be sold and the money arising from such sale may be given to the bodily heirs of my sister Rebecah Oneal I also give to my friend the Rev'd. Josias Randle of Green County and state of Georgia my time piece or watch --- I appoint my Brother Wesley Wheat and my friend James Wray Esq. of Columbia County, and state of Georgia Executors to this my will and testament - Witness my hand and Seal this 13th day of December 1809 Eli Wheat (Seal) Signed Seal'd and delivered in presence of Robert Walton Jnr.
