WILKINS "Georgia Columbia County In the Name of God Amen, Know all men by these presents, that I William F. Wilkins of the said state and County, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and deeming it most prudent to be prepared with a timely disposition of my worldly affairs in the event of departing this life, the period of which is uncertain to all men, do hereby, constitute, establish, appoint and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, in the words following to wit: In the first place, It is my will and desire that the Last Will and Testament of my deceased father William Wilkins, of which I was left the Sole executor, should be carried into full effect and execution, agreeably to the clear, manifest and lawful meaning thereof, and within as short a time as may be practicable without prejudice. For this purpose and the payment of the legacies which are appointed to be paid in and by my father's will as aforesaid, I hereby fully empower the executors hereinafter named to this my last will and testament, to sell and dispose of so much or any of my estate and effects, as may be required to pay off the said legacies at what time and in such manner as in their sound discretion they may consider to be most to the advantage and benefit of all concerned, my said executors taking especial care to raise the funds necessary to discharge the legacies under my fathers will, out of the property both real and personal which was left to me by my said father and upon which the said legacies were charged. Item. It is further my will and desire that after the payment of all the debts and legacies due from my said father's estate that the balance or remainder of my property both real & personal of whatever description and amount, should be applied and disposed of in the manner following, to wit, first I wish all my own just debts to be faithfully paid and settled as soon as my executors may find it practicable. Item I give and bequeath unto my nephew William Bynaum Maddox a negro to be worth the sum of five hundred dollars upon a fair valuation, to be delivered to him upon his arriving at the age of Twenty One years. Item. After the payment and discharge of all the legacies and debts hereinbefore recited and provided ? directed to be paid, it is my will and direction that all the residue of my estate of every kind and description whatsoever shall belong to my beloved wife Polly H. Wilkins without condition or restriction. Item. I hereby nominate my respected friends Archer Avery Esquire, Gabriel Jones Esquire, Peter Crawford Esquire the executors of this my last will and testament with full powers and authority to carry the same into execution.
