I Peter Zachry of the State of Georgia and County of Columbia, being sick and weak of body, but of perfict mind and memory, thanks be to Almighty God for his mercies & calling to mind the mortality of a man and know that it is appointed me that all men should die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament. And first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors, nothing doubting but I shall live the same at the General Resurrection - & as touching ____ worldly Estate as it has pleased God to Blefs me with in this life, I give and dispose of in manner and form following 1st I give and bequeath unto my Beloved Wife, Mary Zachry, one feather bed & furniture her choice and also one cow and calf to be at her own disposal. I likewise lend unto my wife Mary Zachry during her life or widowhood the land and plantation whereon I now live with all my tools and stock of every kind and household furniture and all my estate whatever after my just debts is paid except that which I shall hereafter give to my children. 2nd I give and bequeath to my Daughter Susanna Watson five dollars to her and her heirs. 3rd I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Ward five dollars to & her heirs. 4th I give and bequeath to my daughter Edne Zachry one feather bed and furniture also one cow and yearling & hifer may be known by the name of Ednes Cattle. 5th I give and bequeath to my daughter Betsey Zachry one feather bed & furniture, also one cow and yearling known by the name of Betseys Cattle. 6th I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancey Zachry one feather bed and furniture also one cow & yearling known by the name of name of Nanceys cow. 7th I give and bequeath to my daughter Patsey Zachry one feather bed and furniture also one cow and calf, a black cow. And at my wife’s death or end of widowhood then I give to my four youngest daughters to wit, Edne Zachary, Betsey Zachary, Nancey Zachary and Patsey Zachry all and every part of my estate that is now lent to my wife consisting of 210 acres of land, stock, tools &c to be sold and equally divid among the four and my desire is that my just debts should be paid out of that which is owing to me.
