 Robert W. "Bobby" Daughtrey, 76, of Adel died September 23, 2007 at his 
residence.
 Born June 17, 1931 in Cook County to the late William Henry and Ethel Virginia 
Jones Daughtrey, he was a retired building contractor and was of the Baptist 
faith. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
 Survivors include his wife, Betty Montgomery Daughtrey of Adel; two sons and 
daughters-in-law, Dale and Lisa Daughtrey and Duke and Lana Daughtrey, all of 
Adel; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Chris Sumner of Alapaha and Kim 
and Rob Alley of Sparks; brother, Dennie Daughtrey of Blounts Creek, NC; six 
grandchildren, Jake and Blake Daughtrey of Adel, Chance, Charla and Brooke 
Alley of Sparks, Micaela Sumner of Alapaha. He was preceded in death by four 
brothers, Charlie Daughtrey, Earl Daughtrey, Elmer Daughtrey, James Daughtrey, 
and sister, Dorothy Hiers.
 Funeral services were held Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Boone-Lipsey 
Funeral Home with Don Williams officiating. Wendy Browning and Joey Williams 
sang "Go Rest High on that Mountain," "Amazing Grace," "Shall We Gather at the 
River," and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?"
 Interment was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
 Active pallbearers were Tony McCranie, D.J. McLaughlin, T.J. Williams, Michael 
Browning, Eric Moore, Justin Roberts.
 Honorary pallbearers were Steve Freelove, Craig Crosby, Bill Emrich, Ronnie 
Sumner, Wayne Deason, Tom Coody.
 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
