She was born in Irwin County to the late Aaron and Leona Dorminey Lassiter. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a homemaker and member of Springhead Baptist Church. She was the widow of Elmer Eugene Flowers. She is survived by her son, Ronney Flowers of Adel; daughter, Vonna Sue and Doug Alley of the West Berrien Community; five grandchildren, Wade and Stacy Alley, Lanie and Cain Staines of the West Berrien Community, Aaron and Amanda Flowers of Adel; six great-grandchildren, Emaly Alley and Caleb Alley, Alley Claire Staines and Jase Staines of the West Berrien Community, Caden and Calin Alley of Tifton. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Daniel Alley; two brothers, Wesley Lassiter and Edward Lassiter and one sister, Minnie Bledsoe. Funeral services were held October 1 at 3 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Berrien County with the Revs. Brad Baker and Ken Potts officiating. Interment was held at Springhead Baptist Church Cemetery. Boone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
