 Shirley F. Griffin, 56, of Adel died March 30, 2005 at her residence.

 Born Nov. 17, 1948 in Cook County to the late Ernest Felton and Jeanette 
Wiggins Griffin, she was a long time employee of the City of Adel and retired 
from the State Department of Education as an executive assistant. She was a 
member of Barney First United Methodist Church.

 Survivors include her step mother, Ovie Handley Griffin of Nashville; brother, 
James Griffin of Nashville; sister, Patricia Saunders of Adel.

 Funeral services were held April 1 at 7 p.m. at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home 
Chapel with Rev. Jean Jack, associate pastor, officiating.

 In keeping with Ms. Griffin's wishes, cremation followed.

 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
