(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net January 10, 2014, 9:08 pm The Adel Nerws Tribune 4-4-1984 P6A Rites for Mrs. Hobby Held Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Hewett Hobby of Adel were held Friday at 3pm in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home at 202 North Hutchinson Avenue. The Rev. John Hendley, pastor of the Westside Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in Sylvester Cemetery in Cook County. Pallbearers were Luke Larry Duke Hobby, David Hewett, Danny Wynn, Jerry Becton, and R. C. Brady. Mrs. Hobby died Wednesday, March 28, 1984 at her home. She was a life time resident of Cook County, born here June 6, 1930, daughter of the Late Clyde Woodard and Ruby Bryant Hewett. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church. She was the widow of Duke Hobby who died in 1980. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Danette Bennett of Adel and Mrs. Debbie O'Banion of Arnold, Md.; one half-brother, Derry Hewett of Ty Ty; one half- sister, Mrs. Shirley Abbott of Adel; and four grandchildren.
