She was born May 4, 1951 to the late B.H. "Doc" and Viola Baker Miley. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lightsey of Sparks; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Tony and Jody Spires of Lenox, John Lightsey of Dalton and Michael and Tina Lightsey of Hazlehurst; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marie Delarosa and Chad Newbern of Enigma, Michelle Delarosa Bazin of Nashville, Susan and John Wilcox of Brandon, FL; six brothers and five sisters- in-law, Bob and Gail Miley of Enigma, Horace and Janice Miley of Sparks, Charlie and Jackie Miley of Valdosta, John E. and Jean Miley of Valdosta, Larry Miley of Nashville, David and Brenda Miley of Tifton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dollie Mae Orr of Nashville and Doris and Roger Morgan of Adel; 10 grandchildren, Corey Delarose, Alex Delarosa, Taylor Newbern, Chandler Newbern, Alexus Spires, Mary Wilcox, Andrew Wilcox, Kristen Wilcox, Carolina Wilcox, and Luke Wood; best friend, Nancy Meders of Omega. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Greene, Beverly Ann Clements, Josephine Chafin. Funeral services were held March 21 at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Cason officiating. Her nephew, Chris Miley, gave a eulogy. Musical selections were "Back Home in Memory," "Peace in My Soul," "Some Call It Heaven, I Call It Home," and "Amazing Grace," sung by the New River Singers. Tabitha Miley sang "She's Not Crying Anymore" and "The Anchor Holds." Active pallbearers were her brothers, Bob Miley, Horace Miley, Charlie Miley, John E. Miley, Larry Miley, David Miley. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Morgan, Chad Newbern, Dale Morgan, Michael Lightsey, Barry Morgan. Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
