 Billy C. Martin, 77, of Adel (Peanut City) died July 1, 2008 at his residence.
 He was born June 24, 1931 in Cook County to the late Clifford Leon and Donna 
Mae Banks Martin. He lived in Cook County most of his life. He was owner and 
operator of Peanut City. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty 
Jean Tyson Martin; and his second wife, Jewel Myers Martin; and one 
granddaughter, Chantel Martin.
 He is survived by two sons, Carey Martin of Island Grove, FL, Billy Ray 
Martin, Jacksonville, FL; one daughter, Patricia Ann Martin, Nashville; four 
grandchildren, Regina and Bryan Lanier, David and Angela Kelly, Robert Martin, 
Sheena Martin; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Martin, Kingsland, 
GA, Cliff Martin, Mt. Vernon, FL; three sisters, Helen Register, Adel, Betty 
Webb, Valdosta, Cleo Jones, CA; special friend, Mike Lagoe.
 Funeral service were held July 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Boone-Lipsey Funeral 
Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Parrish and the Rev. John Hendley 
officiating. Debra Boyd sang "When They Ring Those Golden Bells," "Farther 
Along," and "Amazing Grace."
 Interment will be in Longbridge Church Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Lin Parrish, Eric Tucker, Jackson Mixon, Steve Register, 
Lindsey Parrish, Mike Pathan.
 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
