 Daniel McCranie, 78, of Easley, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 in Easley, SC. 
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson 
Home for Funerals. Dr. Fred Evers and the Rev. Eddie Hutcheson will officiate 
with burial to follow in Lenox Cemetery. Davis McCranie, Rodney McCranie, 
Robbie Kinard, Ricky Kinard, J.C. Campbell and Vance Bennett will serve as 
pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3 p.m. today at Bowen-
Donaldson Home for Funerals.
 Mr. McCranie was born Dec. 1, 1929 in Adel and was the son of John Weston 
McCranie and Estelle Pafford McCranie Kinard, both deceased. He was also 
preceded in death by on brother, Dennis F. McCranie and sister, Jewell M. 
Bennett.
 He retired from the United States Postal Service and was of the Baptist faith. 
He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
 Mr. McCranie is survived by his wife, Edna Finley McCranie of Easley, SC; two 
brothers, Charles McCranie of Tifton and Richard Kinard of Lenox; three 
sisters, Julia Arthur of Tifton, Joyce Davis of Sparks and Jean May of Lenox; 
several nieces and nephews.
 Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
