 Billy Gene Moore, 76, of Lenox died May 31, 2010, at his residence after a l
lengthy illness.
 Born December 18, 1933, to the late Earnest and Alice Pearl Lawson Moore, he 
served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Lenox Baptist Church. He was 
self-employed as a farmer for many years and was retired from MSI in Tifton.
 Survivors include his wife, Betty Lindsey Moore of Lenox; three daughters and 
one son-in-law, Tammy Moore of Adel, Lisa Solomon of Hahira and Michelle and 
Joe Denly of Adel; four stepsons; 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; 
daughter-in-law, Kristy Moore of Adel; sister-in-law, Louise Moore; two broth
brothers, Earnest Moore, Jr., and Buddy Moore.
 Funeral services were held June 3 at Lenox Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Harr
Harris and Dr. Danny Ray officiating. Music "How Great Thou Art," sung by Carl Paff
Pafford, Jody Pafford, Janice P. Cooper and Becky Griffin, accompanied by pian
pianist, Linda Hall.
 Active pallbearers were Nick Griffin, Dusty Moore, Joe Joiner, Matt Lewis, Ter
Terry Harper, Houston Joiner.
 Honorary pallbearers were Charlie Bryant, Jerry Moore, Sonny Bennett, Jack Jo
Joiner, Earnest Joiner, Tommy Daughtrey.
 Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
