Born January 3, 1917 in Cook County to the late William M. "Billy" and Arizona Taylor Webb, she was a homemaker and member of Beulah Holiness Baptist Church. She was married to the late Rev. Ensley C. Ray. Survivors include one daughter, Lavenia Horne of Adel; one sister, Voncile Grimmett of Tifton; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 7 at 2 p.m. at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church with the Revs. J.L. Sellers, Kenneth Matthews and Ken Williams officiating. The Beulah church choir sang "Amazing Grace," "He'll Hold My Hand," and "The Eastern Gate," accompanied by Linda Hall, pianist. Interment was in Beulah Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Michael Davis, Keith Webb, Henry McGill, Darrell Webb, Dwight Plymel, Wayne Hart. Honorary pallbearers were John Wilson, Leroy Ray, Jimmy George, Elton Singletary, Joel Welts, J.R. Sirmans, Herman Murphy, Vernon Giddens. Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
