  Arthur Willard Rentz, 72, of Adel died July 14, 2008 at Langdale Hospice 
House in Valdosta after a lengthy illness.
  Born February 18, 1936 to the late Woodard and pearl Hancock Rentz, he served 
in the United States Army and was employed in the maintenance department at 
Memorial Hospital of Adel before retiring. He was preceded in death by his 
wife, Teresa Jimenez; and one sister, Jennette Hayes.
  Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Roseann and Bruce Baldree of 
Adel; four sons and daughters in law, David and Jill Rentz of Pavo, Terry and 
Wendy Rentz, Van and Candy Rentz of Texas, and Coven Payne of Augusta; two 
brothers, Eston Rentz of Sparks and Gene Renta of Adel; four sisters Mildred 
Robinson of Ray City, Dorothy Griffin of Nashville, Doris Romubio of Warner 
Robins, and Hazel Brannon of Lexington, NC; eight grandchildren, one great 
grandchild.
  Funeral services were held July 16 at Concord Primitive Baptist Church with 
the Revs. Johnny Smith and James Rice officiating. Musical selections 
were "Amazing Grace," "At The Altar," and "Go Rest High On The Mountain."
  Interment was in the Concord Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
  Pallbearers were Dennis Hayes, Wade Hayes, Dale Rentz, Woody Robinson, Andy 
Rentz, Danny Rentz.
  Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
