 Charles Alvin Sumner, 65 of Sparks died Sept. 30, 2009, at Memorial Hospital 
of Adel.

 Born May 21, 1944 in Madison, FL to the late Eddie Franklin and Idell Pickles 
Sumner, he lived in Cook County most of his life. He was a truck driver and a 
veteran of the U.S. Army. 

 Survivors include one son, Corey Allan Sumner of Sparks; one daughter and son-
in-law, Ginger and Charles Moore of Sparks; granddaughter, Katelyn Idell Moore; 
two brothers, Avery Sumner of Panama and Kenneth Sumner of Jackson; one sister, 
Joann Stubb of Griffin. He was preceded in death by one sister, Merle Dalton.

 A memorial service will be held at a later date.

 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
