 Claude U. Taylor, 75, of Adel died March 20, 2005 at Memorial Hospital of Adel.

 Born January 8, 1930 in Cook County to the late Clements Warren and Retha 
Irene Connell Taylor, he was of the Baptist faith and was retired from the 
Pepsi Cola Co. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.

 Survivors include his wife, Faye Crosby Taylor of Adel; one son, Travis Taylor 
of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Sandra Coody of Valdosta and Elaine Stone of 
Nashville; one step-daughter, Audry Hargraves of Nashville; four sisters, Glyn 
Bailey, Brenda Rowland and Weida May, all of Nashville, Olvia McCorvey of 
Albany; one brother, Rev. Lamar C. Taylor of Avon Park, FL; 11 grandchildren, 
three step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held March 23 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Boone-Lipsey 
Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar C. Taylor and Chaplain Skip Van Nus officiating. 
Patsy Register served as pianist and Jimmy Jones and Deborah Redlinger sang "I 
Know Who Holds Tomorrow" and "On the Wings of a Dove."

 Interment with military honors was held in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

 Active pallbearers were Corey Luke, David Lee Coody, Jr., Sean Johnson, Jerry 
Mize, Jamie May, Matthew Stone, Chad Luke, Billy May.

 Honorary pallbearers were Billy Jack May, Gerald Jones, Mark Croft, Bobby 
Wheless, Evans McCorvey, Tim Roland, Jimmy Jones, Justin Woodworth.

 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
