Williams, 83, of Adel died September 26, 2012, at Southern Senior Li Living Center in Adel. Born October 20, 1928 in Hanceville, AL to the late Ota K. and Julia Ivela P Parsons Gamble, she was a homemaker and secretary for Lenox and Sparks schools f for more than 30 years. She was a member of Leila United Methodist Church. She w was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Cartron; brothers, Joe B. Gamble, C Cecil Gamble, Kenneth C. Gamble and J.C. Gamble. Survivors include her husband of more than 65 years, the Rev. Richard Vernon “R.V.” Williams of Adel; son, the Rev. O. Ken Williams and wife, Mary Ann Sut Ann Sutton Williams of Adel; brother, Roy J. Gamble of Hanceville and many nieces, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held September 29 at 3 p.m. at Leila United Methodist Church Church with the Revs. Donnie Sloan, Ferrell Harper and Dan Robinson officiating. Interment followed at Oakhill Cemetery in Quitman. Active pallbearers were Raymond Baldree, Jimmy Rountree, Mike Bennett, Tim Jerr Jerry, Todd Griffin, Ricky Roberson, Stanley Griffin. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Green, Ronald Parten, Stanley Williams, Joe Car Carrol Godwin, Rev. Richard Nash. Baker Funeral Home of Moultrie was in charge of arrangements.
