Born March 5, 1918 in Tift County to the late Willie C. and Susie A. Swain Turner, she was a homemaker. After the death of her husband, Forrest D. Willis, in 1949, she moved to Lenox and had lived in Cook County for the past 60 years. She was a member of Lenox Baptist Church and the "Young At Heart" Senior Sunday School Class. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Willis Griffin; sons-in-law, J.R. Griffin and Joseph A. B Baker, her brothers, Albert C. Register and Calvin Register; her sister, Jewell R R. Cosper; three infant brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son and two daughters-in-law, Dale and Linda Willis of TIfton and Sue W. Baker of West Berrien; six grandchildren, Jeff Willis of Tifton, Jennifer W. Banks (Ben) of Bluffton, SC, Mike Baker (Jeri Lynn) of West Berrien, Regina B. Hughes of Nashville, Dana G. Sumner (Aubrey) of Omega, David Griffin (Laura) of Tifton; ten great-grandchildren, Sean Willis of Fort Edw Edwards, CA, Benjamin Banks of Bluffton, Leigh Ann Baker, Ty Baker and Allison Bak Baker, all of West Berrien, Turner Hughes of Nashville, Kassidy and John David Gri Griffin, II, of Tifton, Brittney and Megan Sumner of Omega. Funeral services were held Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. at Lenox Baptist Church with Rev. La Lamar Harris officiating. Mrs. Wilma Brickle, pianist, played the prelude and po postlude, Mrs. Reba Spradley sang "Serenaded by Angels," and Mr. Harold Sp Spradley gave the eulogy. The congregation sang "Amazing Grace" and Dr. Harris sh shared a eulogy written by Jimmy Jones who was ill and could not attend the se service. Dr. Harris gave the main message and a song, "It's Over Now," by Jimmy Sw Swaggart was played. Interment was in Lenox City Cemetery.
