State of Georgia }   This Indenture made This Twenty Six day of January in 
the year of our Lord Coweta County   }   One Thousand Eight hundred and 
Seventy five 1875 between William B Berry of the State aforesaid and County 
of Coweta of the one part and Robert W Hendrix also of State aforesaid and 
County of Coweta of the other part,   Witnesseth that the said William Berry 
for and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and Sixty eight Dollars 
((268.00) in hand paid at and before the Sealing & Delivery of these presents 
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath by these presents hath 
granted bargained sold and conveyed and by These presents does grant bargain 
sell & convey unto the said Robert W Hendrix aforesaid his heirs and assigns 
all that tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the Original 
Second but now fifth district of Coweta County and State aforesaid being all 
That part of land lot No forty of Said district lying on East Side of the 
public road known as the Gordon road. (said road leading from Newnan & 
Crossing White Oak Creek at a point known as Gordons bridge in Said County).  
Said tract or parcel of land described containing fifteen (15) acres more or 
less and being all of Said land Lot No forty lying East of Said Gordon Road.  
To have and to hold the described Said tract or part of lot of land, with all 
and singular, the rights members and appurtenances Thereof to the same being, 
belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use benefit and 
behoof of him the Said Robert W Hendrix and his heirs Executors 
administrators and assigns in fee simple and the said William B Berry  his 
heirs Executors and administrators the said tract or parcel of lot of land 
unto the said  Robert W Hendrix  his heirs executors and administrators and 
assigns the Said William B berry his heirs executors and administrators and 
all and every other person or persons Shall and Will warrant and forever 
defend by virtue of these presents. In Witness Whereof    the said William B 
Berry hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above 
written
