For and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred forty two & 50/100 Dollars in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, J P Cates of the county of Coweta State of Georgia, do hereby give, grant, sell, alien and convey unto E M Yeager & R W Hendrix of the County of Coweta, State of Georgia, his heirs and assigns, the following property, to-wit: The undivided one half interest of the east half of the East half of lot of land No7 containing (5) fifty acres more or less lying in the (6th) district of said county, bounded on East by Charley Russell, on the south by Lewis & Wilkerson, west by Dr T B Davis & on North by J L Stevens, EM Yeager owns the balance of said land together with all privileges and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging, only proper use, in fee-simple. And the said vendor will and his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns shall, the said property to the said vendee, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, forever warrant and defend against the lawful demands of all persons whatever. In witness whereof, the said J. P. Cates has hereunto set his hand, affixed his seal, and delivered these presents this 13th day of Jan, 1897.
