I Daniel Whitaker Sheriff of the county aforesaid, did lately seize the Lot of Land hereinafter described as the property of the said Samuel Cooke and after being duly and publicky advertised agreeable to Law, did on the third day of August in the year one thousand eight hundred & thirty, at the place of public sales in the said county of Coweta expose the same at public outcry when John G. Fry being the highest bidder the same was knocked off to him at the price or sum of One hundred & twenty five dollars & twenty five cents --- Now this Indenture made the third day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty between the said Daniel Whitaker Sheriff as aforesaid of the one part and the said John G. Fry of the other part Witnesseth that the said Daniel Whitaker Sheriff as aforesaid for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred & twenty five Dollars & twenty five cents to him in hand paid by the said John G. Fry at and before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents doth grant bargain & sell so far as the office of Sheriff ______ him unto the said John G. Fry his heirs & assigns all that tract or Lot of Land situate lying & being in the second district of Coweta County known and distinguished in the plan of said District by the number Eighty Five together with all & singular the rights, members and appartenances thereof unto the said Lot of Land being belonging or in any way appertaining and also all the Estate rights title intended property claim and demand of the Said Samuel Cooke in & to Equity or ________ whatsoever of in or to the same To have & to hold the said tract of Land and premises & every part thereof unto the said John G. Fry his heirs & assigns to the only proper use benefit behoof of the Said John G. Fry his heirs & assigns forever in Fee Simple in as full and ample a manner as the said Samuel Cooke or his heirs & assigns did or might have sold & enjoyed the same had it not been Seized & Sold under the Execution aforesaid In Witness Whereof the said Daniel Whitaker Sheriff hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day & year first above written.
