This file was contributed by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net ==================================================================== Coweta County Deed Book F, page 443 Georgia } This Indenture made and entered into this Eighth of March in the year of Coweta County} our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine between John G Fry of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Martin Johnson of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that said John G Fry for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell unto Martin Johnson his heirs and assigns a certain parcel of land situate lying and being in the Second District of said County containing a part of lots No one hundred and nineteen and one hundred and eighteen commencing at the South East corner of lot number one hundred and nineteen running on the old line lacking twenty rods of the original corner thence South parallel with the line dividing the two lots one hundred and twelve rods thence West twenty rods to the line dividing the two lots thence south along said line one rod thence West into Lot number one hundred and Eighteen six rods to the head of a Small branch thence down said branch near a south west course to the south line of said Lot, thence east along the old line to the beginning corner containing by estimation one hundred and ninety seven and one half acres be it more or less with all and singular the rights members and Appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said martin Johnson his heirs and assigns forever for his and their own proper use benefit and behoof in fee simple, I the said John G Fry do bind myself my heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the titles of said bargained premises from all persons whatever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the day & year above written Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of Basset Northern John G Fry John S. Houston a Justice of the peace personally came Basset Coweta County} Northern and being duly sworn saith that he saw John G Fry assign the within deed for the purpose therein contained and that he saw John S Storey assign the same as a witness and that he also assigned the same himself as a witness.
