This file was contributed by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net ==================================================================== Coweta County Deed Book M pages 426 - 427 State of Georgia } Pursuant to the last will and testament of M B decd after Public notice Coweta County } made in the Newnan Herald a public gazette printed and published in the City of Newnan in Said County on the first Tuesday in December being the Sixth day of said month in the year Eighteen hundred and Sixty nine I Armstead B Hill duly constituted Executor of the last will and testament of said M B Clark deceased did Put up and expose to Sale to the highest bidder before the Court House door in the City of Newnan in Said County between the legal hours of Sale for for ready money Twenty three and a half acres more or less being a part of lot of land Number thirty nine in the fifth district of said county known as the old parsonage lot bounded North & West by lands belonging to M P Kellogg South by lands of the estate of M B Clark deced bought at the sale by Joseph W Clark East by lands of Jon W Powell When Benjamin Wright of said County being the highest & best bidder said land was knocked off to him at and for the price or Sum of Four hundred and Seventy one Dollars Now therefore this indenture Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and Seventy one Dollars cash in hand paid at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged said A B Hill executor as aforesaid hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey so for as the office of Executor authories unto the said Benjamin Wright his heirs and assigns Twenty three and one half acres of land more or less being a part of lot of land number thirty nine in the fifth district of said County of Coweta known as the old parsonage lot bounded North & West by lands of M B Kellogg South by lands of the Estate of M B Clark Decd bought at the Sale by Joseph W Clark and East by lands of John W Powell with all the rights members and appurtenances to said land in any wise appertaining or belonging To have and to hold said land and premises unto him the said Benjamin Wright his heirs and assigns in the same maner in which it was possessed and held by the said M B Clark Deceased In testimony whereof the said A B Hill executor as aforesaid hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written Signed Sealed and delivered In presents of A___n Freeman A.
