This file was contributed by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net ==================================================================== `Coweta County Deed Book L, page 471 Articles of Agreement } Georgia Coweta County Between } Articles of agreement (viz) Whereas, Elisha John M Hindsman } Hindsman late of said county departed this life in the month of Felix E Hindsman } April or May 1861 Intestate and Kesiah Hindsman Widow and & Michael Hindsman } and relick of said deceased and John M. & Felix E Hindsman being sons of said deceased the three above named persons being the only heirs at law of said deceased, & there being left by said deceased an estate of some fifteen or twenty thousand dollars worth of property consisting of a number of Negroe Slaves Land stock of Horses cattle and hogs and various other articles together with notes accounts & other _____ of indebtedness And Whereas the said Kesiah Hindsman John M. Hindsman & Felix E Hndsman being of full age and sound mind and discretion do enter into the following agreement (viz) We agree to enter upon and divide the said estate among & between ourselves without any administration and further agree that John M Hindsman shall proceed as soon as he can realize funds from the proceeds of the farm or any indebtedness to pay off whatever may be owing and unpaid after debts owed by said deceased, And when such division be accomplished which shall be as soon as practable and the debts paid off and discharged, each shall pass their acknowledgements of the receipt of their full portion of said Estate to the other and said receipts and acknowlegements shall be entered upon record in the Ordinarys office of said county together with this article of Agreement given under our hands and Seals this 24th day of December 1861 his Test William x Hindsman Kesiah Hindsman mark John M Hindsman Felix E Hindsman Michael C Hindsman Recorded May the 21st 1862 J.
