Stephens Know all men by these Presents That J. A. Hughens and H. M. Smith duly constituted Administrators of the estate of the real and personal of Hardy Smith late of Coweta County deceased by virtue of an order of the Court of Ordinary of Coweta County granted at the regular October Term Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Eight of said Court notice of application for said Order having been previously published in terms of the law after advertising the same for sale in terms of the law did on the first Tuesday in November Eighteen Hundred & Seventy Eight within the legal hours of sale put up and expose for sale at Public outcry before Court house door at Newnan in the County of Coweta the real estate hereinafter described when the same was knocked to James F. Stephens of the County of Coweta being the highest and best bidder at the price of Four Hundred twelve & 50/100 Dollars. Now for and in Consideration of the said sum of Four Hundred twelve & 50/100 Dollars cash in hand paid by the said James F. Stephens the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said J. A. Hughens and H. M. Smith as administrators as aforesaid have granted bargained and sold and do by these presents do grant bargain and sell so far as the office of Administrators authorize them unto the said James F. Stephens the following real estate to Wit the South West quarter of lot of land number one hundred and Thirty Eight (138) in the original and present Second District of said Coweta County Containing about Fifty acres (50 acres to have and to hold the same together with all the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the James F. Stephens his heirs and assigns forever in as full and ample a manner as the same was seized possessed and enjoyed by the said Hardy Smith at the time of his death In Witness Whereof the said J. A. Smith & H M. Smith as Administrators as aforesaid have hereunto set their hand and affixed their seal this Fifth day of November Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Eight J. A. Hughens H M.
