Pitts of said County Administrator of Asa Pitts late of Coweta County} Said County deceased did on the Third day of July in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty two commenced the publication of a notice in the Georgia Banner to all concerned that at the Expiration of Sixty days from that date said M. T. Pills admr. as aforesaid would apply to the Ordinary of Coweta County for leave to Sell half of lot of Land number ninety Eight in the Second District of Coweta County it being a part of the real Estate of the said deceased and whereas there being no objection made to said application the said Ordinary will on the tenth day in Sept of the aforesaid and at a regular term of the same pass an order granting leave to said M. T. Pitts admr as aforesaid to sell said half Lot of Land and whereas in pursuance of said order and after the publication of notice of said in the Georgia Banner for forty days said M. T. Pitts admr (with in will annexed) as aforesaid did on the first Tuesday in Nov in year of aforesaid at the Court house door at Newnan in Said County between the lawfull hours of Sale put up at public outcry Said half Lot of Land and whereas Cary Hughens of Said County being the first and best bidder Said half lot of land was knocked off to him at and for the Sum of Six hundred and Eighty Dollars . Now this indenture made and entered into this twenty fifth day of January in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty three between m. T. Pitts Admr. with the will annexed of the estate of Asa Pitts deceased of Said County of the One part and Cary Hughens of Said State and County on the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of Six Hundred and Eighty Dollars cash in hand paid by the said Cary Hughens the receipt whereof it hereby acknowledged the Said m. T. Pitts admr. with the will annexed as aforesaid doth by these presents bargain sell alien and convey as far as his authority as admr. as aforesaid will warrant him unto the said Cary Hughens all that tract of Land Situated lying and being in the Second District of Coweta County known and distinguished in the plan of Said District it being the South half of Lot number ninety Eight containing One hundred one and fourth acres agreeable to original survey to the same more or less with all the rights members and appurtenances to said half lot of Land in any wise appertaining or belong to have and to hold the said half Lot of land with all its appurtenances unto him the said Cary Hughens his heirs Executors and Admr. forever in fee simple In testimony whereof the Said M.
