Witnesseth that whereas in obedience to a writ of Fieri Ficias from attachment suit issued out of the Superior Court of the County of Coweta at the suit of Robert W Hendrix Plff in Attachment required J. J. Scroggins, the said George H Carmical Sheriff aforesaid did lately seize the one undivided half interest in a house & lot hereinafter described as the property of said J. J. Scroggins, and after notice served before the [BLANK] and being duly and publicly advertised agreeably to law in the Newnan Herald, did on the day of the sale hereof at the place of public sales to wit the Court House door in the County of Coweta expose the same at public outcry. When the said Robert W Hendrix being the highest bidder the same was knocked off to him at the price of sum of Two Hundred Dollars $2oo.00). Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said George H Carmical Sheriff aforesaid for and in consideration of the said sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Robert W Hendrix at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, & convey unto the said Robert W Hendrix his heirs and assigns all that one undivided half interest in a certain house & lot in the city of Newnan Coweta County, known as the place whereon M W T Sims lately lived, now vacant except some Negro tenants in an out house, said house & lot bounded on the West by Jackson Street in said city of Newnan, on the South by the Simril property, on East by Jefferson Street, and on North by a street connecting the said Jefferson & Jackson streets, the whole of said lot containing one eighth of an acre more or less & this deed covering & conveying one undivided half interest therein, together with all & singular the rights, members & appurtenances thereof whatsoever appertaining to the to the said half interest in said house & lot of J. J. Scroggins being belonging, or appertaining, and also all the estate, right, title interest property claim, demand of the said J. J. Scroggins in law equity or otherwise howsoever, in or to the same. To have and to hold the said undivided half interest in suit house & lot and every part thereof unto the said Robert W Hendrix his heirs & assigns, to the only proper use benefit & behoof of the said Robert W Hendrix his heirs & assigns forever in fee simple as full and ample a manner as the said J. J. Scroggin or his heirs or assigns did or might have held and enjoyed the same had it not been seized & sold under executions as aforesaid.
