This file was contributed by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net ==================================================================== Coweta County Deed Book H, pages 42 - 43 Georgia } This Indenture made this the sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one Coweta County} thousand Eight hundred and thirty six between Garret Hendricks of the county aforesaid of the one part and James Sherman of the same state & county of the other part Witnesseth that said Garret Hendricks for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aleaned convey and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alean convey and confirm unto the said James Sherman his heirs and assigns the South half that Tract or lot of land situated and being in the county of Coweta and State aforesaid known by lot number twelve (No 12) in the first District of said county of Coweta containing one hundred & a ¼ acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the said bargaine premise with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever the said James Sherman belonging or in anywise appertaining with the remainder and Remainders Recesion & Recesions rents his shear and profits thereof to the only proper use benefit & behoof of the said James his heirs Executors administrators and assigns in fee simple and the said Garret his heirs Executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said James his heirs executors and administrators and assigns against the said Garret his heirs executors & administrators all and evry other person persons shall & will warrant & even defend by virtue of these presents In witness whereof the said Garret hathe hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year above written Signed sealed & delivered of } Gerret Hendrick Test Richard W East Smithfield Martin Wm Spratling J.
