This file was contributed by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net ==================================================================== Coweta County Deed Book G, page 318 Georgia } This Indenture made into this 11th day of November in the year of our Lord Coweta County} one thousand Eight hundred and forty three of the American Independence the sixty seventh between Thomas I Word of the County of Coweta County and State aforesaid of the one part and George Hendrix of the County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas I Word for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth Grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said George Hendrix his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land situated lying and being in the Second district of Coweta County Known and distinguished by number fifty (59) nine containing two hundred two & half acres more or less To have and to hold the same tract of Land unto him the said George Hendrix his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him and his own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Thomas I Word for himself his heirs Executors and administrators the said bargained premised unto the said George Hendrix his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the rights and titles thereof against himself his heirs & against the claims of all persons In testimony whereof the said Thomas I Word hath hereunto set his hand and my seal the day and year above written Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Jackson Neely Thomas I Word Wm B Brown J.P.
