This Indenture, Made the 20th day of September, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Nine, between E M Yeager of the County of Coweta, of the one part, and J A Hughens of the County of Coweta, of the other part, Witnesseth: That the said E M Yeager for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed, and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell alien, convey, and confirm unto the said J A Hughens his heirs and assigns all his interest in and to Eighty Nine acres of land off of the North Side of land lot No 138 situated in the 2nd district of said county. Bounded on the North by Harry Fry lands. East by Hill Moore. South by J A Hughen and West by R P Carpenter. Commonly known as the lands set apart and assigned to Susannah Smith widow of Hardy Smith late of said county deceased for her dower. The said granted interest being an undivided one seventh seven _____ interest in said lands at the death of the said Susanah Smith, the life tenant as aforesaid and known as the interest bought by said E M Yeager from W T Smith and N. Z. Smith heirs at law of said Hardy Smith. To have and to hold the said bargained premises with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereto appertaining, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him the said J A Hughens, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, in fee- simple. And the said E M Yeager the said bargained premised unto the said J A Hughens & his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, against the said E M Yeager his heirs, executors, and administrators, and against all and every other person or persons, shall and will warrant and forever defend, by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof, the said E M Yeager has hereunto set his hand, affixed his seal, and delivered these presents the day and year first above written.
