Newnan, Ga. Sept. 1884 Dear Genia, I guess you have got home by this time, so I thought that I would write. I am staying at the Temple now going to school just having a glorious time. Clyde and me are rooming in one of these big old barns by ourselves. We haven’t but ten boarders yet but expecting more today. School begun last Tuesday. We have between sixty and seventy pupils. I am looking for Pa today. Clyde went home yesterday and all the girls have gone to the six o’clock prayer meeting so I am by myself. I wish you could be up here and go with us to church. It is just like a camp meeting they a very large arbor the church would not hold near all the people so they built an arbor. The girls have been going every night but they are all so afraid that I will get sick again they won’t hardly let me turn round. What for a time did you have at Clyde’s but I know you enjoyed it. I had a splendid time. You might know I would when Lee was there nearly all the time. Genia you ought to have been at the bush arbor meeting I went Saturday and Sunday. I wish you could have heard them shouting Saturday. Well what have you done with Mr. Jones? Clyde says tell you that John is sick and that she will write to you next week. You ought to have attended White Oak meeting. Ophelia and went all the time I guess you know that. Lee attended also. Well I have got just a lots of studying to do therefore I will have to close. Love to Grandma, Uncle Ben and Aunt Mollie. For yourself accept a large portion.....Write soon....
