Received at Louisville, Ky., a Confederate deserter, September 25, 1864. Released there on taking oath of allegiance to U. S. Govt., and to remain north of Ohio River, September 26, 1864. Crider, William - private November 28, 1863. Captured at Nashville, Tenn. December 15, 1864. Died of pneumonia at Camp Douglas, Ill. February 25, 1865. Dawkins, William H.- private March 16, 1864. Infantry was formed partly by consolidation of the 3d and 9th Battalions of Georgia Infantry May 6, 1863. The 9th Battalion Georgia Infantry was also known as the 17th Battalion Ga. Inf. Jennings, Henry C.- Enlisted as a private in Co. A, 9th Battn. Ga. Light Artillery April 28, 1862. Transferred to Co. I, 37th Regiment Ga. Inf. February 11, 1864. Roll for April l, 1864, last on file, shows him present. Pension records show he was wounded in right side, causing partial paralysis, at Atlanta, Ga. July 22, 1864. Surrendered at Greensboro, N. C.
