wounds December 1864.

Brown, Vincent J.- private March 12, 1864. Roll for April 1, 
1864, last on file, shows him present. No later record.

Caldwell, William - private March 19, 1864. Captured at 
Cassville, Ga. May 16, 1864. Released at Rock Island, Ill. 
October 25, 1864, having volunteered in the U. S. Army for 
frontier service but was rejected.

Childs, John - private March 10, 1864. Roll for April 1, 1864,
last on file, shows him present. No later record.

Cole, James P.- private March 10, 1864. Received at 
Louisville, Ky., a Confederate deserter, September 25, 1864. 
Released there on taking oath of allegiance to U. S. Govt., and 
to remain north of Ohio River, September 26, 1864.

Crider, William - private November 28, 1863. Captured at Nashville, 
Tenn. December 15, 1864. Died of pneumonia at Camp Douglas, Ill. 
February 25, 1865.

Dawkins, William H.- private March 16, 1864. Roll for April
1, 1864, last on file, shows him present. No later record.

Dunn, James D. (Tobe) - private May 11, 1863. Surrendered
at Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865.

Gibson, Joshua C.- private February 24, 1864. Appointed Corporal. 
Surrendered at Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865.

Hayse, William - private March 19, 1864. Roll for April 1,
1864, last on file, shows him present. No later record.

Hilburn, Frank A. (or Hillburn) - private May 6, 1863. Detailed with 
ambulance corps at Shelbyville, Tenn. in 1863.

Hyde, Henry - private August 13, 1863. Captured at Decatur,
Ala. October 28, 1864. Died of pneumonia at Camp Douglas, Ill.
May 7, 1865. Buried there in Confederate Cemetery.
See Co. C, 3d Battn. Ga. Infantry for roll of this company prior to May 
6, 1863. The 37th Regiment Ga. Infantry was formed partly by 
consolidation of the 3d and 9th Battalions of Georgia Infantry 
May 6, 1863. The 9th Battalion Georgia Infantry was also known as the 
17th Battalion Ga. Inf.

Jennings, Henry C.- Enlisted as a private in Co. A, 9th Battn.
Ga. Light Artillery April 28, 1862. Transferred to Co. I, 37th
Regiment Ga. Inf. February 11, 1864. Roll for April l, 1864, 
last on file, shows him present. Pension records show he was 
wounded in right side, causing partial paralysis, at Atlanta, Ga. July 
22, 1864. Surrendered at Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865.
(Born in Ga. June 26, 1844. Died at Rome, Ga. March 24,
1987.)

and place not given. Transferred to Co. F, 22d Regiment Alabama
Inf. February 1, 1864. Paroled at Talladega, Ala. May 23, 1865. 

Moore, James M.- private May 1864. Surrendered, 
Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865.

Moore, Josephus - private April 22, 1864. Wounded at 
Murfreesboro, Tenn. December 8, 1864. Surrendered at Greensboro,
N. C. April 26, 1865.

Nix, David N.- private August 13, 1863. Captured at Utoy
Creek near Atlanta, Ga. August 7, 1864. Died of pneumonia at
Camp Chase, O. December 12, 1864. Grave #605, Camp Chase
Confederate Cemetery.

Payne, W. O.- private March 21, 1864. Killed in campaign
between Dalton and Atlanta in 1864.

Shelnut, J. D.- private March 12, 1864. Roll for April 1, 1864,
last on file, shows him present. No later record.

Thomas, Montgomery L.- Enlisted as a private Co. A, 1st
Regiment Ga. Inf. (Ramsey's,) May 7, 1861. Discharged at 
Staunton, Va. August 25, 1861. Enlisted as a private in Co. I, 
37th Regiment Ga. Inf. March 3, 1864. Appointed Acting Sergeant Major. 
Wounded at Franklin, Tenn. Elected 1st Lieutenant.
Surrendered at Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865.
