BRIDGES did not serve in the Military or Naval service of the United States other than in Capt. Greers Ga Vols from June 6th to Sept 2 1836. PERSONS, ordinary within and for the county and State aforesaid, Mrs. Jane BRIDGES, aged 72 years, a resident of Senoia, in the State of Georgia, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the widow of Richmond B. BRIDGES as a private in the company commanded by Capt. Gilbert D. GREER in the Batallion of Cavalry, commanded by Julius C. ALFORD, in the Seminole and Creek war; that her said husband enlisted at Columbus, GA on or about the 6th day of June, A.D. 1836 , for the term of three months, and was discharged at Columbus, GA, on the 2nd day of September, A.D. 1836; that he was not otherwise employed in the military or naval service of the United States. > That at the time of entering the service claimed for, her said husband was 17 ears of age, 6 feet in height, with Blue eyes, light hair, fair complexion, by occupation a farmer and that he was born in County of Green , State of Georgia. That after leaving the service he resided in Coweta 39 years. That she was married to him on the 8 day of August A.D. 1838 (*note: year is scratched out and difficult to read), in Pike Cou. by Victor Drewry , a Justice of the Peace under the name of Jane COPPAGE; that he had not been previously married that she had not been previously married. That her said husband died at Senoia , on the 21st day of November A.D. 1875; that she has not since remarried. That she has not heretofore made application for pension, that she has not made application for bounty land, that her husband did make application for pension, the number of his claim being unknown that he did not make application for bounty land. SHELL, aged 63 years, residing at Senoia GA and J.W. SIMS, aged 56 years, residing in Senoia, GA, persons whom I certify to be respectable and entitled to credit, and who, being by me duly sworn, say that they have known the said Jane BRIDGES for 50 years and 39 years, respectively; that they were present and saw her make her mark to the foregoing declaration; that they have every reason to believe, and do believe from the appearance of said claimant, and from their personal acquaintance with her, that she is hte identical person she represents herself to be; and they further say that they are fully satisfied that she is hte person who was the wife of the identical Richmon B.
