The men will report at the office of the Coweta County Selective Service Board, at 3 o'clock, on that date. They will receive final instructions before leaving for Atlanta and Fort McPherson. These men are Emmett Monroe Barron, Everett Clay Bryant, George Forrest Willis, Joseph Garland Wise, John Quig Boswell, Irwin Hunter Pike, John Thomas Norton and Henry Irvin Spivy. Alternates for the men are clarence Sherrer, Lewis D Smith, William E Reese, Robert R Marchman, Ralph Lamar Wortham, General Wheeler Vick, Joseph H Foster Jr and Joseph H Hughie. On April 5 at 9 am EST the following colored selectees will report to the local Board's offices in the Municipal Building in Newnan: Millard Pullins, Glover Bolton, Henry Darden and Charlie Reese. Alternates are Governor Leonard, Samuel Struthers, Irwin Wimberly and Glover Cook. The colored selectees will be sent to Fort Benning, in Columbus, for induction into the Army and a year's military training.
