Newton Times Herald - Issue # 47 November 24, 1971
Weyman Evans, member of the Coweta Recreation Commission, center, is shown 
inside one of the two Meadows family cabins with Commissioner Leroy Johnson, 
at left, and commission Chairman W. N. Wood, at right. Evans points to the 
aged crossbeams of the cabin, which are still sound nearly a century and a 
half after construction. The log Cabins will be moved from their present site 
near Moreland, to make way for I-85 highway construction, and will be 
preserved for posterity in a park at Grantville.
