April 26, 1901 Mr. R. H. Eady and family spent Saturday night and Sabbath with relatives near Handy. Messrs. Odel and Will J. Thompson spent Sabbath with Prof. Stephen Thompson, who has recently moved into our community. Mrs. S. C. McSwain has returned home, after a pleasant visit to her daughter, Mrs. J. B. Ashley. Mrs. C. A. Bell, accompanied by her brother, Mr. C. B. Lee, visited relatives here last Sabbath. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Coats visited Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Thornton yesterday. Mrs. Nola Hawk and Miss Tommie Archer are on the sick list this week. Mrs. E. E. Davis and children visited Mr. W. P. Thompson and family at Pearidge on Saturday night last. Last Saturday night Mr. Eugene Lewis and Miss Missouri Cato were united in marriage, 'Squire J. T. Favors performing the ceremony. It was a Gretna Green affair. April 24th. A. E. G.
