The Herald And Advertiser, Newnan, Ga. April 26, 1901
Hon. Hewlette A. Hall, of Coweta county, was in the city yesterday on 
professional business.  Mr. Hall has received quite a number of letters from 
friends in every section of the State urging him to become a candidate for the 
office of Attorney General.  He says that he will not run, and gives his reason 
for not doing so that his candidacy might in some way operate against the 
itnerests of Col. Joseph M. Terrell in the latter's candidacy for Governor.  
Mr. Hall is a firm and devoted friend of the Attorney General and will support 
him with all the strength he can command.  Atlanta Cor. Macon Telegraph, 25
