G. Keith, was the victim of a painful accident Sunday night about 7 o'clock, from the effects of which he will probably be confined to his bed for several days. Mr. C. H. Nelson was at the stables of the Messrs. Keith on the night in question, engaged in conversation with Mr. M. G. Keith, when he accidentally dropped a pistol from his overcoat pocket. As the weapon struck the floor it was discharged, and the ball struck Mr. Keith in the right side, but came in contact with a rib and ranged upward near the spine. Drs. Jones and Peddy were immediately called to attend the wounded man, and the ball was extracted without much difficulty. He is doing as well as could be expected, and we are glad to learn that no serious consequences are anticipated.
