White Oak

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Young gave a Christmas dinner to their children last
Thursday, 25th ult.  The occasion was called a family reunion.  Mr. Young put a
ten dollar gold piece for each child and a present costing one dollar for each
grandchild on a Christmas tree that had been arranged for the occasion.  In
return Mr. Young received a gold engraved walking cane with “Jos. Young”
engraved on the head.  The Christmas tree was well loaded with nice presents too
numerous to mention.  The day passed off very pleasantly to all who attended.
