Newnan Times March 13, 1941
Mrs Adaline Hooper, age 80, died at the home of her sister Mrs Shade Smith 
near Sargent early Wednesday morning. Mrs Hooper had been in failing health 
for a long time. Survivors include two brothers, Homer Smith of Carrollton, 
and Raleigh Smith of Manchester; three sisters, Mrs Shade Smith of Sargent, 
Mrs M M Bell of LaGrange, and Mrs J H Harper of Manchester. There are also 
several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs Hooper will be conducted 
at ten o'clock this morning from the Sargent Church by Rev H B Coleman. 
Interment will follow in the Sargent Cemetery with J U McKoon and Son 
directing.
