Newnan Times March 27, 1941
S F Jarrell, Newnnan High School Principal, who holds a Captain's commission, 
in the United States Army Infantry Reserve, has been ordered to report for a 
year of active duty. He will leave Newnan in time to be at Fort McPherson on 
April 23, for physical examination. Mr Jarrell expects to be stationed in 
Macon after routine examination at Fort McPherson in Atlanta. Mr Jarrell has 
completed work and training sufficient for a Major's commission. No 
announcement was made this week, as to the porbable successor for Mr Jarrell, 
who has been connected with the school system here for a number of years.
